How long does it take for acidophilus to start working?

I started taking Acidophilus pills for my digestion, to get rid of diarrhea problems. I'm in the bathroom more than out of it.

How long does it take acidophilus pills to start working? I'd like this fixed as soon as possible.

I took acidophilus pills for the same reason. After about 24 hours they began working for me. You need to keep your pills in the refrigerator though. If you don't, the bacteria that helps your stomach digest will die and the pills will do no good for you.

I never knew that you had to keep the pills in the fridge. I have taken them before and left them in my cupboard. Maybe that is why they did not help me.

Most Pharmacists won't tell you to keep your antibiotics in the freezer either. I know you are not supposed to stop taking your antibiotics until they are gone but I have done that in the past. I have always kept the remaining antibiotic pills in my freezer to make them last longer strength wise.
