If you had to describe your most recurring dream, what would it be?

Most of us have two or three dreams that recur throughout our lives. I often dream that I'm driving a VW bug and the brakes go out. That sounds like I may have control issues.

I always dream running and a ogre running after me. The strange part of that dream is that I usually don't seem to be running fast no matter how hard I try, but the ogre keep speed keeps on increasing and just when he is about to catch up with me, I wake up from the sleep. The ogre usually has one big eye at the back and on the front of his face and he is usually very big.

I'm always being chased by someone--usually someone trying to kill me. I run and find a perfect hiding place, but the bad guys always, always find me and usually shoot me. That or, while I'm hiding, I get bitten by a huge snake that I didn't see when I first hid there, or a rat that runs out and bites me and doesn't let go. Pretty frightening. I usually wake up gasping for air. Any ideas?

I've never had any recurring dreams. All of the dreams I remember are different. Although I have noticed that when I am running away from someone or trying to fight someone, I can never seem to get away from them.

I dream about the same places a lot and they aren't places I've ever been to in real life. Like, there's a college building and I tend to get lost in it. I also dream about driving on the same roads in and around some town.

I wonder if running and driving are all about trying to get away from something, or if running is trying to get away and driving is trying to reach something? I wonder if getting lost in a college building means you don't think you are very smart or intelligent? I love to try to interpret dreams, especially ones that recur. We tend to try to solve problems subconciously in our dreams. Thanks for sharing.

I've had a recurring dream for many years in which I am chased, relentlessly, by an evil, sentient bulldozer. It sounds kind of funny when I write it out, but in the dream it is quite terrifying! I won't begin to speculate what it means, but I'm open to suggestions. :)

My recurring dream is a nightmare, but there are no monsters or free falls involved. Instead, I am back in college and running from class to class. In the dream, I can never remember my schedule or the room numbers so I am constantly checking each and every door to peek in and see if I recognize a teacher or group of students taht will let me know I am in the right place. Just when I finally get it all down, I realize there is one class that I have not been to the whole semester and will, therefore, fail it. Though this dream might seem trivial, I do have to wonder why I keep having it and why it upsets me so much in the dream and when I wake.

I used to have the same dream every night I stayed at my grandparents house. It was in black and white, and it must have been set in the 1900's ... the clothes and hairstyles that the people had!! It was the same thing every time... and then all of a sudden, one night it was in colour, and I have never had that dream since.

Another one I have A LOT, is the driving dreams... I dream that I'm driving and then something goes wrong and I crash... sometimes the road is crazy and would never actually exist as a road... it wouldn't be structurally possible, or the car goes crazy and I end up crashing.

I still have those dreams, and I have no clue why.

I sometimes dream my teeth fall out. They always feel so real they trip me out. I actually expect to wake up without teeth.
