If you have little knowledge about Stock Investement is now the time to invest in the markets?

I am torn between knowing very little about buying and selling stocks and wondering if this is the wrong time to invest. Some good company stocks are quite low at times and that makes me wonder if I should buy. However, it may take too long for it to come back up to show a good profit margin.
What say you?

I would say for anyone thinking about purchasing stock, to purchase in stock that you use the product on a regular basis. This way, you are getting stock in a company you trust because you use it's product they produce. It will be less likely to go under.

If you don't know much about stocks then it is ALWAYS a bad time to buy. You might get lucky and pick a winner, but an uneducated investor is basically gambling. Learn about stocks and what makes a good bargain and THEN invest. A knowledgable investor can make money in any market.

I agree with iebo. If you don't know where you are putting your money, don't put it there.

Read some books and websites, learn. Then invest or go with mutual funds.

No, I wouldn't advise you to step in the stock markets right now, as the markets are very volatile. Certainly not if you're just a starter. You need nerves of steel at the moment not to run away. Use your time to gather information and start when the big storm is over.
