Nursery Tales
|
Stan and Jan Berenstain wrote The Berenstain Bears’ Nursery Tales. This book is a paperback and has gotten some good use out of it in my household. It starts off with The Three Bears, then to The Little Red Hen. My favorite story in this book is The Gingerbread Man.
This book is actually like having three books in one. They make great bedtime stories for your children as you can tell them you will read one a night. The pictures are your standard Berenstain Bears pictures. They are cute and colorful and are timeless. This book has been with me for over 25 years and I am sure that in 25 years it will remain a favorite. There was nothing I did not like about this book. The bears in Goldilocks remind me of the actual Berenstain Bears, but you can tell that it is not them. Actually in the end, the last page shows Papa Bear and Brother Bear sleeping by the fire while Mama Bear is leaving the room. The page reads Good night. This book was a best book club ever book and also a Random House Pictureback book. The stories are the same classics that I was told when I was little, so the Berenstains did not change anything in them. A true Classic book! |
