Where did you eat when you went to Paris France?

There are so many different eating establishments in Paris, France I was not sure where to eat. So many eateries and so little time! I only had about three days at the end of my first European trip last year and I was overwhelmed with the various choices. I finally settled on one place that only offered one food choice on the menu. They served beef in a special light cream sauce and french fries! That was their only dinner entree, and it was wonderful. I ended up going back several times before I left Paris.

I went to Paris a few years ago on a coach trip from the UK, and one evening we went on a boat trip on the River Seine, followed by a meal in a small restaurant on the Left Bank. Your experience is typical of many of the small, intimate restaurants. They offer a 'menu du jour/nuit' - 'menu of the day/night' - and it's a 3 course meal served with bread and wine, and exquisitely cooked.

We dined like that every night - a la carte restaurants can be very expensive - particularly in Paris.
