When the computer is turning on and shows the fierst screen press ALT and F10 5 times until the screen changes to a dark screen annd the rest is up to you.

When you are finished, your computer, will look just like it did, when you first bought it. Do these steps, in order, when finished.
1. set up windows firewall
2. windows update (click express)
3. install your anti-virus program (update)
4. install anti-spyware (update)

Vous devriez avoir reçu un disque de sauvegarde ou de redémarrer sur l'achat de l'ordinateur portable. Insérez la disquette / CD et éteignez votre ordinateur. Boot le sauvegarder et faire exactement ce qu'il indique sur les instructions (généralement sur le devant ou l'arrière si c'est un cd). Si vous ne possédez pas, vous pouvez essayer d'appeler un support client pour Acers.

If you reset to factory you will loose ALL and ANY data you have on the laptop at this moment.
Try entering into *safe mode* then check to see if the graphics card has the correct driver and then see what the video settings are at (reading video is how you have your screen set to show) if you have a very bright screen and very pale theme then it could be almost impossible to see. change it all back to default.

If your graphics card had gone then resetting to factory will be no good as the card will only give the same picture it is at the moment .

So try the safe mode first

when the laptop is starting up click ctrl+alt+f10 and it should work

When its starting up, you will press F13. It will work
